We are looking for a skilled Assistant Manager / Finance Manager to join our team in the container and logistics sector, based in Karachi – Board Basin. Reporting directly to the Finance Head / CFO, this role demands a finance professional with strong expertise to manage the entire finance and accounting operations of the company. The successful candidate will ensure precise financial reporting, maintain effective cost control, and guarantee compliance with all regulatory standards. Additionally, this position involves leading and mentoring a team of finance and accounts staff to support the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all finance and accounting functions within the organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee billing, revenue recognition, and collections to maintain smooth financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, Management Information Systems (MIS), and detailed management reports for decision-making.
- Monitor and control operational costs related to transport, containers, and terminal activities to optimize expenses.
- Handle taxation matters, coordinate audits, and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Efficiently manage cash flow and working capital to support ongoing business operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and tax consultants to facilitate seamless financial processes.
- Lead, guide, and develop the finance and accounts team to meet departmental objectives and enhance performance.
Required Qualifications
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, or an MBA in Finance is essential.
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the logistics or shipping industry.
- In-depth knowledge of taxation, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems is mandatory.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- This is a full-time role based at the Karachi – Board Basin location, requiring physical presence.
- The position offers a competitive monthly salary in the range of Rs150,000 to Rs250,000.
