Khan Brothers, established in 1948, is a prominent B2B technical distributor in Pakistan, specializing in industrial automation, motion, HVAC-R, building systems, and appliance components. Representing leading global brands such as Rockwell Automation, Danfoss, Siemens, Copeland, and WATTS, the company serves over 6,000 clients through five regional offices. As part of its ongoing modernization efforts, the finance function plays a critical role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

The Finance Manager position is a full-time, on-site role based in Karachi. This role requires a commercially astute professional with extensive knowledge of Pakistani tax policies and regulations. Unlike a traditional back-office finance role, the Finance Manager will take ownership of compliance and financial planning, transforming data into actionable insights. This position involves close collaboration with senior leadership to influence business decisions and support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the company’s compliance with financial regulations and lead strategic financial planning initiatives.
- Act as the in-house expert on Pakistani tax and regulatory matters, keeping leadership updated on any changes.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to align with the company’s growth objectives.
- Analyze financial data and present clear, forward-looking insights and practical recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee and enhance finance systems, processes, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and other departments, serving as a trusted financial advisor.

Required Qualifications

- Strong communication skills are essential to effectively convey complex financial information.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or FCA are required; part-qualified candidates with substantial experience will also be considered. A background focused on taxation is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including significant hands-on exposure to Pakistani tax regulations. Experience in Big 4 firms or tax practices followed by industry roles is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of income tax, federal and provincial sales tax, withholding tax regimes, and import taxation.
- Practical experience working with ERP systems such as Odoo or SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

Preferred Attributes

The ideal candidate is proactive, identifying issues and opportunities without prompting. They think strategically beyond immediate deadlines, focusing on quarterly and yearly outcomes. Clear communication skills are vital, enabling them to simplify and explain complex financial matters. They are solution-oriented, offering recommendations rather than just reports. Additionally, they remain organized and effective under pressure, managing multiple deadlines and ad-hoc requests seamlessly.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Khan Brothers’ financial strategy, contributing directly to the company’s modernization and growth journey.
