The Financial Analyst – Master Data Management (MDM) plays a crucial role in supporting the Order to Cash (O2C) process by ensuring that master data is accurately created, maintained, and governed within established timelines and quality standards. This position contributes to achieving a world-class finance function by applying strong financial knowledge, maintaining robust controls, and ensuring compliance across all master data activities. The role supports the broader organizational vision by enabling efficient and reliable financial operations through effective data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process master data requests, including creation, amendments, and finance data updates, within SAP/FSCM, adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs) and quality targets.
- Collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) and Close & Control (C&C) teams to ensure timely and accurate material listings, channel setups, and related master data for both new and existing products.
- Manage and monitor Global Material Master (GMM) and material master workflows, proactively resolving issues and bottlenecks to facilitate smooth order-to-cash execution.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across finance, commercial, technology, and supply chain functions to understand business requirements and translate them into effective master data solutions.
- Support automation and standardization initiatives within O2C MDM, including workflow improvements, reporting automation, and data validation tools.
- Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with internal control frameworks such as SOX and ICFW, assisting with internal and external audits and responding to data-related inquiries.
- Provide support to the O2C team by handling ad hoc queries and tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or a related Order to Cash/Master Data Management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP/FSCM or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data accuracy skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to proactively identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly explaining policies and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid financial acumen to ensure that postings to financial statements are accurate and reasonable.
- Experience working within strong control and compliance frameworks such as SOX and ICFW.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and collaboration skills to work effectively across finance, commercial, technology, and supply chain teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
Knowledge or experience in cash management, credit risk analysis, cyber risks, data analytics, design thinking, digital fluency, continuous improvement, enterprise thinking, and problem-solving will be advantageous. These skills support the ongoing development and enhancement of the finance function and contribute to delivering efficient, compliant, and innovative master data management solutions.
