Financial Controller

Zameen Developments is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead and manage all financial operations within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, driving strategic financial planning, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. This role demands expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support the company’s business goals. The Financial Controller will also focus on enhancing financial performance, controlling costs, managing risks, and safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of financial data and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting specifically for construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely financial reports that comply with local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor overall financial performance, manage cash flows, and evaluate project profitability to optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct variance analysis and implement cost control measures while providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
- Present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders, facilitating informed business strategies.
- Establish and continuously monitor project budgets to maintain cost efficiency and financial discipline.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to track expenses, update forecasts, and manage resource allocation effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all taxation, regulatory, and financial reporting obligations to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to protect company assets.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Manage working capital efficiently to guarantee sufficient liquidity for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, drive internal process improvements, and strengthen internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in managerial or leadership roles within finance.
- Strong technical proficiency in financial systems, financial modeling, and data analytics tools.
- Willingness to be based in Lahore.
