Scope:
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure platform, the Server Management team will define with the Architecture team and deliver the overall vision, standards, practices and technical solutions that ensure Small World can work in an on premise and cloud solution. We are recruiting talented engineers that can help us in the short term to deliver our backlogs in the existing platform and, in the near future, to help us migrate and modernize our systems to a new architecture yet to be defined.
Duties:
- Maintain, configure and monitor our on premise and cloud-based assets (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows servers, IBM TSM) to ensure all systems are properly configured, fully patched, and operating as designed
- Document all facets of system configuration and operation
- Work with other members of our team to improve your skillset and to help us make our team even stronger
- Perform regular backup and restore operations and to help implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Have strong knowledge of many operating system between Windows and Linux. As an IT professional, the role holder also has to be on top of the latest developments in technology to understand how to work with new hardware and software, recommend upgrades, modifications, and improvements.
Job Description:
- Help with Cost control and Cost optimization in On premise platform and Cloud providers.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements and provide low level designs that match with the requirements.
- Deliver the backlog both for business as usual, prioritized incidents and strategic projects in a timely manner with the right quality.
- Help us to manage and scale our systems focusing on high availability, to be able to offer a robust service.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience on: o Linux administration (preferably Redhat Enterprise Linux/ Centos / Rocky Linux). o Knowledge of Linux realms (AD integration), SELinux, SAN/NAS storage configuration. o Windows Server & Active directory Management.
- Load balancing solutions, preferably F5 BigIP.
- Web & applications server knowledge (Nginx, Apache, Java based application servers).
- Backup solutions (Preferably Tivoli and Veeam Backup).
- Network basics required for system Administration.
- VMWare cluster Management.
- Monitoring systems (Zabbix, Graphana, Grapaha cloud, Kibana ELK Stack)
- Containerization technologies (Docker)
- AWS cloud technologies.
- Azure cloud technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Proficient in English for oral and written communication.
