We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented analyst to join our FinOps team, focusing on cloud financial management and software optimization. This role involves leveraging data and advanced technologies to provide actionable insights that drive cost efficiency and margin improvement across Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with cloud cost management, and a passion for applying AI and automation to enhance financial operations and software asset management.

Key Responsibilities

- Support cloud cost allocation, anomaly detection, and optimization analysis across Azure environments by translating usage data into actionable financial insights.
- Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards to enhance FinOps visibility on cost, margin, and utilization metrics for internal stakeholders.
- Utilize AI and machine learning techniques to improve anomaly detection, forecast cloud spending, and identify scalable cost optimization opportunities.
- Analyze cognitive product margins and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving gross margins through data-driven recommendations.
- Maintain an accurate software asset inventory, tracking licenses, entitlements, and consumption across the organization.
- Manage the third-party software renewal calendar, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective renewals.
- Identify and prototype AI-powered automation opportunities within FinOps and Software Asset Management workflows, including contract analysis, license reconciliation, and spend alerting.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT teams to support cloud optimization strategies and software contract management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, software asset management, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools, with practical experience applying them to financial analysis, anomaly detection, or automation workflows considered a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI is preferred.
- Solid understanding of software licensing models, including SaaS, subscription, consumption-based, and perpetual licenses.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of presenting complex findings clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
