Fire Protection Design Engineer - TJ / 1893546

Our client, Peregrine Fire, is seeking a Fire Protection Design Engineer based in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, with at least three years of experience in fire protection system design. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculations, along with the ability to design comprehensive fire protection systems such as fire detection, alarm, and sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects independently, and skilled in technical documentation and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed fire protection system designs using AutoCAD, including layouts for fire detection, alarm systems, and sprinkler systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance aligns with fire safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their fire protection needs and deliver customized technical solutions.
- Prepare thorough technical documentation, including design reports and project specifications, compliant with industry codes and standards.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards without direct supervision.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contractors to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly within overall building designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to evaluate existing fire protection systems and recommend improvements or retrofitting where necessary.
- Stay updated on current regulatory requirements, fire safety codes, and emerging technologies relevant to fire protection system design.
- Support sales teams by providing technical expertise and delivering presentations to potential clients, utilizing prior sales experience.
- Ensure all designs prioritize safety, cost-effectiveness, and functionality while meeting client expectations and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience in fire protection system design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed fire protection system layouts.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic calculations related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
