In this hourly, remote contractor position, you will serve as a Firebase Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for designing and executing realistic, challenging computer-based tasks involving Firebase and related app development workflows. Your role includes creating practical Firebase tasks, documenting them clearly using SuperAnnotate, ensuring your technical setup supports the tasks, and recording yourself performing these tasks on your computer. The tasks you develop and complete will help train advanced AI models to better understand how real users interact with backend-as-a-service platforms and app infrastructure workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Create realistic and challenging Firebase tasks that can be executed on a computer, then document each task clearly within the SuperAnnotate platform.
- Prepare your work environment by ensuring you have all necessary Firebase access, test projects, sample data, local project files, permissions, and references ready before recording.
- Record yourself executing the Firebase tasks while following project instructions, making sure the workflow is clear, complete, realistic, and safe.
- Provide detailed task context, including steps, goals, project details, files, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and how it was completed.
- Demonstrate practical use of Firebase features such as Console navigation, Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, Hosting, security rules, deployments, and troubleshooting as relevant to each task.
- Review your recordings and documentation carefully before submission to ensure the task is comprehensive, understandable, realistic, safe, and aligned with project guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with Firebase, including app setup, authentication, databases, storage, hosting, security rules, deployment, and troubleshooting workflows.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher to accurately understand project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable using computers, browser-based consoles, developer tools, terminals (when needed), project files, and recording software to capture workflows.
- Ability to design realistic and challenging Firebase tasks that reflect actual use cases across web, mobile, backend, admin, data, or app development scenarios.
- Strong understanding of Firebase fundamentals such as projects, apps, Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, Hosting, security rules, SDK configuration, and deployment processes.
- Capability to ensure your technical setup supports task execution, including having Firebase access, safe sample data, test projects, local files, and required tools ready before recording.
- High attention to detail in preparing tasks, executing workflows, and verifying that recordings are complete, safe, and easy to understand.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to consistently deliver quality work in an hourly, remote contractor role across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Additional skills in web development, mobile development, backend development, cloud computing, JavaScript, Flutter, QA, DevOps, or other computer-based workflows are highly valued.
- This role is with SME Careers, a rapidly growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, which provides training data to many of the world’s leading AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your Firebase expertise will directly contribute to improving premier AI models by teaching them how real users complete practical app setup, database, hosting, authentication, and cloud workflow tasks.
This opportunity offers a flexible, remote work environment where your specialized Firebase knowledge will have a meaningful impact on the development of cutting-edge AI technologies.
