Firmware Engineer

Role Description The Firmware Engineer will design, develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware for hardware products and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing software on ARM-based and other embedded platforms, integrating firmware with electronic components, performing detailed debugging and troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable performance under real-world conditions.

The role also involves collaborating with electrical and software engineers, reviewing technical requirements, participating in design reviews, and maintaining clear documentation of designs and code changes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pakistan.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of embedded software development, including low-level programming for microcontrollers and firmware integration.
Proficiency in debugging techniques for embedded systems, using tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and in-circuit debuggers.
Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles related to embedded system design, interfaces, and hardware/firmware interaction.
Proven experience in software development using languages such as C/C++ for embedded platforms, with clean, maintainable coding practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and within a team in an on-site environment.
