Folding & Gluing Supervisor

This position involves supervising folding and gluing operations to ensure that production targets, product quality, and machine efficiency are consistently met. The role requires overseeing timely order completion in line with customer specifications and company standards. The supervisor will coordinate daily activities, manage personnel, and maintain smooth machine operations to deliver high-quality carton packaging products.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily folding and gluing operations to ensure production plans and targets are met within established timelines.
- Manage and guide machine operators and helpers, ensuring effective manpower allocation and shift coordination.
- Monitor folding and gluing machines, including Bobst Folder Gluer and other relevant equipment, to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure cartons conform to approved samples, correct dimensions, folding accuracy, gluing quality, and customer specifications.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and routine quality checks to detect and prevent production defects early.
- Minimize material wastage, glue consumption, machine downtime, and production rejections through proactive management.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Printing & Graphic Arts, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in folding and gluing operations within the printing and packaging industry.
- Proven experience operating or supervising Bobst Folder Gluer machines is highly preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of folding and gluing processes and carton packaging specifications.
- Ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot folding and gluing machinery effectively.
- Skilled in quality inspection, defect identification, and waste reduction techniques.
- Experience in manpower supervision, shift management, and production planning.
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and reporting abilities.
