The Food Security and Livelihood Specialist is a technical position within the country team which will contribute towards reinforcement of the food security and livelihood strategic priorities and direction. The food security and livelihood (FSL) Specialist is responsible for leadership, coordination and supervision of all FSL sector including cash programming and nutrition sensitive programming. S/he conducts situation assessment on FSL/Nutrition actions, pilot testing and documentation of potential practices in the areas of vocational training, microenterprises, livestock development, Agricultural development, set-up selected appropriate livelihood activities, provides capacity building and technical assistance to the field Team as well to beneficiaries, propose necessary materials, equipment and inputs, train field staff/ community/ Agricultural and livestock entrepreneurs on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and livestock management. The FSL Specialist monitors progress and provide on-going feedback to Head of Programme, proposing adjustments in annual implementation plans according to emerging community needs and priorities.
FSL Coordinator will also be responsible to implement/lead projects related to the thematic area in Baluchistan which will require frequent traveling.

Technical Level
⦁ To give a strategic direction on Livelihoods with a focus on income, food, and nutrition security.
⦁ To design and monitor the programme/projects on food security and livelihoods for development and humanitarian.
Operational Level
⦁ To lead, coordinate and facilitate knowledge sharing and be a face for Organization for representation at various forums for food security and livelihoods discussions.
Organizational Level
⦁ To build and maintain partnership/network and support in mobilizing resources through workable food security and livelihood strategy and donors mapping.
