The Front Desk Officer position is a full-time, on-site role based at our hotels located in Sharae Faisal and Clifton, Karachi. This role is central to creating a welcoming and professional first impression for guests. The officer will manage guest arrivals and departures, handle inquiries both in person and over the phone, and ensure smooth front desk operations. Daily duties include managing reservations, maintaining accurate guest records, coordinating with housekeeping and other departments, and processing payments and billing efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
- Handle reservations, update guest records, and ensure all data is maintained securely and accurately.
- Coordinate daily with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process payments, issue bills, and manage financial transactions in line with hotel policies.
- Support administrative tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining front desk supplies, and operating office equipment.
- Maintain a courteous, efficient, and personalized service approach at all times, adhering strictly to hotel policies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Experience in receptionist duties, including managing check-ins/check-outs, handling reservations, and answering phone calls and emails.
- Proven customer service skills focused on hospitality, problem-solving, and creating positive guest experiences.
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative tasks, including the use of computers, telephones, printers, and record maintenance.
- Ability to work on-site in Karachi with flexibility for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and local languages to interact comfortably with a diverse range of guests.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Basic proficiency in hotel management or reservation software and MS Office tools is an advantage.
