FTTH Manager operations

We are seeking an experienced professional with 5-6 years of expertise in the operation and maintenance of GPON, metro, metro access, and carrier networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing network rehabilitation and expansion projects, ensuring network resilience, and minimizing outages. This role requires hands-on experience in fiber optic cable (OFC) network revamping, contingency planning for emergency traffic routing, and close coordination with government authorities to protect network infrastructure. The position offers a competitive salary range of Rs. 110,000 to Rs. 130,000 per month and is full-time with field-based work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance (O&M) of GPON, metro, metro access, and carrier networks.
- Lead rehabilitation and upgrading of OFC networks to support expansion initiatives.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for network diversion and traffic rerouting during emergencies or disasters.
- Enhance network resilience and reduce outages through ring completion strategies.
- Address low power issues across corporate, carrier, metro, and metro access networks to improve Customer Handling Index (CHI).
- Coordinate fiber pair arrangements for corporate, carrier, Ufone, and transport network elements/customers.
- Maintain close liaison with government departments and authorities to safeguard the network during planned and unplanned activities.
- Prepare and submit p-deposit bills to civic agencies for route relocations caused by development works.
- Replace problematic aerial cable sections to reduce cable cuts and improve network reliability.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cable cuts, Preventive Maintenance Reports (PMR), and network analysis.
- Execute PMR tasks including repairing damaged handholes, installing new handhole covers, replacing underground joints, removing cable sags, securing aerial joint boxes, and placing loops at optimal heights.
- Update GIS/KMZ mapping systems with new cable routes across corporate, carrier, metro, and metro access networks.
- Ensure timely replenishment and repair of tools and store inventory to support uninterrupted network O&M.
- Improve Service Quality Indicators (SQIs) through PMR activities, network rehabilitation, and by addressing quality audit observations.
- Conduct Pre-Acceptance Testing (PAT) of GPON, carrier, corporate, and transmission network elements prior to handover.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FTTH field quality, deployment, and field operations.
