FTTH Technician DEPLOYMENT

A leading telecom company based in Lahore is seeking a skilled WLL Field Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting BTS and DRS links to ensure uninterrupted network performance. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, including onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and configuration of telecom equipment. The position requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and resolve outages of BTS and DRS links through onsite troubleshooting to restore service promptly.
- Identify and rectify issues related to VSWR, RSSI, and RSL in collaboration with telecom riggers.
- Perform online configuration of DRS links via Network Management System (NMS) and onsite configuration using a laptop.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities on BTS and DRS links to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
- Test and replace components of the DC power system at BTS sites, including batteries and rectifiers.
- Troubleshoot faults related to LAN switches at hub sites to maintain network connectivity.
- Execute testing procedures using Site Master equipment.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of AC power equipment such as Power Distribution Boards (DB), Circuit Breakers (CB), Motor Controllers (MC), Diesel Generators (DG), and Transformers.
- Understand and handle IF, FE, and GE interface cables and connectors, including types, troubleshooting, and remaking connectors as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecom Engineering (DAE Diploma preferred).
- Proven experience in telecom fieldwork, particularly with BTS and DRS link maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work on the road and perform physically demanding tasks in various outdoor environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of telecom equipment, power systems, and networking components.
