Fulcrum Pvt ltd. is looking System Administrator - Linux for one of it's Banking Industry client
Job Purpose
Handle day-to-day IT System for data centers and all countries
This includes Linux, VDI, Active Directory, Proxy, 3rd party, and other systems
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Adhere to HBZ’s code-of-conduct, policies and directives.
- Integrate all systems to monitoring systems and update NOC team for monitoring
- Integrate all systems in to active directory domain controller to achieve AAA level
- Backup and secure system configuration at scheduled interval
- Install, configure and manage operating systems like Linux and Windows
- Install, configure and manage VMWare for virtualized platforms
- Maintain security profiles for Operating Systems
- Maintain up to date high & low level system diagrams
- Set performance monitoring thresholds on monitoring systems to determine capacity requirements
- Plan and upgrade systems infrastructure to meet capacity requirements
- Build system resilience to attain maximum possible availability
- Execute configuration management by following strict change management process
- Contribute in system and storage projects
- Log all system and storage related services and incidents in ITSM tool
Experience and Education
- Degree, preferably in computer science
- Certifications like MCSE, Solaris, Linux, Active Directory, etc.
- Good system management knowledge is essential
- 4 + years of operating systems management and support
- Knowledge of Solaris, Linux, Microsoft, RedHat etc.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools
Skills and Competencies
- Sound understanding of operating systems covering installation, configuration and troubleshooting
- Capable to install and support server operating systems
- Understanding of IT service management processes e.g. incident, problem and change
