Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Own the design, development, and deployment of complex features across backend services and web applications.
- Build and maintain reliable, secure REST APIs and webhooks for enterprise customers, ensuring clear documentation.
- Lead technical integrations from initial scoping through to go-live, collaborating closely with Product, Customer Success, and engineering teams.
- Use data and customer feedback to enhance the Burq Dashboard, enabling operators to manage critical deliveries efficiently.
- Take full ownership of production quality, including monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventing recurring issues.
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, technical design contributions, mentoring, and improving engineering, security, and design practices.
- Incorporate AI tools daily for development, testing, and debugging to increase efficiency and problem-solving capabilities.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience with a proven record of shipping and owning production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience building web applications using React or similar modern frameworks.
- Solid background in designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.
- Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and deploying applications on AWS.
- Skilled in integrating third-party systems and APIs, including handling webhooks, authentication, and failure scenarios gracefully.
- Demonstrates a strong ownership mindset by driving ambiguous problems to completion, following through independently, and being accountable for outcomes.
- AI-native: actively uses AI tools such as Claude and Unblocked in daily workflows and quickly adapts to new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal or event-driven systems such as Kafka.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration and security practices, including SSO, IP allow listing, and audit logging.
