Full Stack Lead (Wordpress + PHP)

COLAB Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Development Lead to oversee and drive the web development function, focusing on the creation, maintenance, optimization, and delivery of websites and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in PHP, WordPress, Shopify, and Magento, combined with proven leadership skills to manage developers, handle technical projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and uphold high development standards. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the development team to ensure timely delivery of projects that meet client requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate development tasks among team members efficiently.
- Develop, customize, and maintain websites and web applications primarily using PHP.
- Manage WordPress websites, including custom theme and plugin development, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Handle Shopify store development, including theme customization, app integrations, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites, focusing on customization, extensions, and integrations.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, performance, security, and functionality issues promptly.
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and other stakeholders to fulfill client needs.
- Perform technical planning, provide accurate development estimates, and monitor project progress to identify risks or blockers.
- Manage website migrations, API connections, third-party tool integrations, and maintain overall website security, backups, and updates.
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, development frameworks, AI tools, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers to support their professional growth and skill development.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack or web development roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in PHP development, including backend programming and database integration.
- Extensive experience with WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization, API usage, and security optimization.
- Proficient in Shopify store development, theme customization, app integrations, and e-commerce functionality.
- Solid experience with Magento development, including theme and extension customization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS, with a good understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Proven leadership experience in managing or mentoring development teams, with excellent task management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide teams toward effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work setting while maintaining strong teamwork and coordination.
