Full Stack Lead (Wordpress + PHP)

COLAB Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Development Lead to oversee and drive the web development function, focusing on the creation, maintenance, optimization, and delivery of websites and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with PHP, WordPress, Shopify, and Magento. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage developers, handle technical projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and uphold high-quality development standards in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the development team to ensure timely delivery of projects that meet client requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate development tasks effectively among team members.
- Develop, customize, and maintain websites and web applications primarily using PHP.
- Manage WordPress websites, including custom theme and plugin development, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Handle Shopify store development, including theme customization, app integrations, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites, focusing on customization and performance improvements.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code while reviewing team members’ code to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, security, performance, and functionality issues across platforms.
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet client expectations.
- Conduct technical planning, provide accurate development estimates, and monitor project progress to identify risks or blockers.
- Manage website migrations, API integrations, third-party tools, and maintain overall website security, backups, and updates.
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, frameworks, AI tools, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, supporting their technical growth and development.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack or web development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in PHP development, including backend and database integration.
- Extensive experience with WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization, APIs, security, and performance optimization.
- Proven skills in Shopify store development, theme customization, app integrations, and e-commerce optimization.
- Solid experience with Magento development, including themes, extensions, integrations, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS, with a good understanding of responsive web design and front-end troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing or mentoring development teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently in a remote work setting.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
