Full Stack .NET / VUE Engineer

We are seeking experienced full-stack engineers to join our team in Islamabad to modernize a large financial-services platform. This role involves working hands-on across all layers of the stack, including backend APIs, background worker services, and the web front end. Engineers will be responsible for migrating logic from an older codebase, designing and optimizing data, and delivering scalable, production-ready solutions. This is a cross-functional position with no separation between backend and frontend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using ASP.NET Core (.NET 10), including Minimal APIs, with a focus on Vertical Slice Architecture and CQRS patterns.
- Implement request pipeline behaviors such as validation, logging, and exception handling, and build reusable business logic in a shared domain services layer.
- Design modular endpoint routing and robust input validation using tools like Carter and FluentValidation.
- Write asynchronous, non-blocking code throughout the stack.
- Manage database engineering tasks beyond ORM usage, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization for both SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Write automated unit and integration tests covering various scenarios.
- Build frontend applications using Vue 3 with the Composition API, TypeScript, and modern tooling such as Vite, Pinia, vue-router, and vue-i18n.
- Utilize Tailwind CSS and integrate data-heavy components like AG Grid, AG Charts, and ApexCharts.
- Develop background and worker services for long-running, scheduled, and batch processes using reliable asynchronous patterns.
- Implement event-driven designs with multiple subscribers reacting to state changes, and integrate third-party APIs with robust authentication and retry mechanisms.
- Operate and troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications on AWS, including managed platforms, containers, object storage, secrets management, messaging, caching, logging, and encryption.
- Follow disciplined version control practices using Git with feature branches and thorough pull-request reviews.
- Apply secure-by-default engineering principles, including parameterized queries, input/output validation, strict authentication/authorization, least-privilege access, and safe handling of sensitive financial and personal data.
- Design multi-tenant, stateless services with layered feature and access controls, fine-grained authorization, and structured observability through centralized logging and metrics.
- Work with legacy codebases, reverse-engineering older .NET WebForms applications, ORM with XML mappings, and stored procedures to accurately re-implement business rules on the modern stack.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, debugging, refactoring, and testing, while supervising and validating AI-generated outputs.
- Collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, follow architectural guidelines, clarify requirements, and maintain compliance awareness in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Participate in occasional off-hours deployments for scheduled maintenance and releases.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Expertise in ASP.NET Core (.NET 10) and backend architectural patterns such as CQRS and Vertical Slice Architecture.
- Strong proficiency with EF Core, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, including advanced query optimization and schema design.
- Extensive experience with Vue 3, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
- Hands-on experience building background services and event-driven architectures.
- Solid AWS cloud experience covering application hosting, storage, secrets management, messaging, caching, and monitoring.
- Strong Git version control skills with disciplined branching and code review practices.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, especially in handling sensitive financial and personal data.
- Ability to work with and modernize legacy codebases involving older .NET technologies and complex data mappings.
- Familiarity with financial domain concepts such as loan lifecycle, amortization, payment processing, and ACH/NACHA systems or strong aptitude to learn quickly.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and managing AI agents in software workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and disciplined approach to scope and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
