Full Stack Software Engineer (Python / React)

Programmers Planet is seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team onsite in Wapda Town, Lahore. This role involves developing a brand-new requirements management platform featuring integrated AI capabilities. The focus is on building a minimum viable product (MVP) or beta release by the end of 2026, with ongoing development planned beyond that milestone. The position requires working during EST hours and offers an opportunity to contribute to an innovative product from the ground up rather than maintaining existing software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop end-to-end features using React with TypeScript on the frontend and FastAPI with Python on the backend, supported by PostgreSQL databases.
- Design APIs, database schemas, and queries within a service-oriented architecture framework.
- Produce clean, well-tested code through rapid iterations and participate actively in code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the solution architect, AI specialists, and client stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and any blockers encountered.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development with solid full-stack fundamentals.
- Proficient in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Professional experience in Python backend development, preferably with FastAPI; strong experience with Flask or Django is also acceptable.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query writing, and basic performance optimization.
- Daily practical use of AI coding tools (such as Claude Code) with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code.
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of effectively interacting with international clients.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for assigned work.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience in launching new products, MVPs, or beta releases is highly desirable.
- Applied experience in AI or machine learning within software engineering projects.
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture principles.
- Background in consulting or client-facing delivery roles is a plus.
