The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations related to the storage, handling, and distribution of tiles, sanitary ware, and related products. This role ensures efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS).
    • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Implement and enforce proper storage procedures to prevent damage and optimize space utilization.
    • Monitor stock levels and proactively address potential shortages or overstock situations.
    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Receiving and Dispatch:
    • Oversee the efficient unloading and inspection of incoming deliveries.
    • Ensure that goods are correctly identified, labeled, and stored.
    • Manage the picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
    • Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Ensure all dispatch documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
    • Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse performance.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
    • Track and manage warehouse expenses within budget.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to warehousing and handling of goods.
    • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse management, preferably in a retail or building materials environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
