Job Responsibilities and skills requirement
- Maintaining and developing new database objects (tables, procedures, functions, views)
- Data import and export using different tools.
- Understanding of existing and new business processes.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
- Strong proficiency in MySQL database management
- Decent experience with recent versions of MySQL
- Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Knowledge of Programming/Markup Languages like jQuery, CSS, HTML, PHP.
- Excellent teamwork skills, ability to self-start, ask questions, and report progress
- Good to have experience in MS Excel (Look ups)
Education/ work experience Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in open source database development.
