- Create complex gameplay feature challenges involving multiple in-game systems and mechanics.
- Write clear and concise task briefs that simulate instructions from players, designers, or producers.
- Produce comprehensive reference solutions for each assignment, including bug fixes and feature implementations.
- Define detailed success criteria, covering input sequences, expected visual outcomes, and verifiable in-game states.
- Perform thorough end-to-end playtesting to ensure each task is reliable and solvable.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in game development, whether in AAA, indie, solo, or serious hobbyist contexts.
- A portfolio or verifiable published work demonstrating your skills (e.g., personal website, itch.io, Steam, GitHub, game jam entries, or shipped titles). Your portfolio is a critical part of your application and heavily influences selection.
- Advanced proficiency with at least one major game engine such as Unity, Godot, or Unreal, including familiarity with editor tools, scene management, and debugging utilities.
- Strong scripting skills in engine languages like C#, GDScript, C++, or Blueprints, with the ability to interpret, troubleshoot, and improve gameplay logic.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve gameplay issues through iterative playtesting.
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting precise task instructions and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in game quality assurance (QA), technical or systems design, automated testing, or previous involvement in AI evaluation projects is a plus.
- Compensation is output-based, with payment provided per completed task that meets project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on your experience and workflow.
- Experts are expected to submit a minimum number of tasks weekly to maintain engagement with the project.
This opportunity offers a unique chance to apply your game development skills in shaping the future of AI in gaming, working on real-world projects that challenge and expand your expertise.
