GAO Tek Inc. is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This full-time, on-site position focuses on creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites that are performant, responsive, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress theme and plugin development, proficiency in PHP and frontend technologies, and the capability to convert design files into fully functional websites. You will collaborate closely with designers and developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality web solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented developer who can optimize websites for speed, security, and search engine optimization while troubleshooting any WordPress-related issues effectively. Although this position does not involve team management, the candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and project management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications.
- Convert design assets such as Figma or PSD files into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress websites.
- Optimize websites for speed, security, and search engine visibility by following SEO best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality, bugs, and compatibility problems.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver web projects on schedule and within scope.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, tools, themes, and plugin developments to apply best practices.
- Implement custom features and functionalities using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 within the WordPress environment.
- Follow version control workflows using Git or other versioning tools to maintain codebase integrity and track changes.
- Assist with website migrations, security hardening, and performance tuning to ensure optimal user experiences.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Provide technical support and documentation for website maintenance and updates post-deployment.
