We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes to join our team at Watch My Competitor. This full-time, on-site position is based in Lahore and involves managing cloud infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high system availability, scalability, and performance while driving automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
- Oversee Kubernetes cluster management, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.
- Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensure security best practices are followed across cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely incident response and resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document processes clearly.
