GCS Information Technology Services (Microsoft Midmarket Solution provider, Managed service provider) is looking for self-driven System Administrator to join our team. 

Provide remote support to users, who can be staff and clients in USA, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.

The selected candidates will work with in full coordination with technical staff such as Sr. System Administrator, Chief System Architects, and other team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT physical and virtual infrastructure for all clients
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize hardware performance by upgrading servers, increasing RAMs, increasing hard-drives, and network cards.
  • Manage internal network within virtual environment.
  • Implement security patches in all servers, and other appliances.
  • Manage end point security by keeping EDRs, Avs, patch management up to date for all clients.
  • Interact with other teams, network, cloud, and helpdesk to optimize client infrastructure.
  • Manage storage area network for clients, wherever applicable.
  • Manage and fix operating system related issues.
  • Manage and maintain access rights and file server security.
  • Manage complex domain environment i.e., domain controllers, ADS, RODCs, Azure AD, active directory, in multi-site and on-prem & cloud environment etc.
  • Serve as a technical expert in system administration for complex operating systems. 
  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices, and firewalls.
  • Responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
  • Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
  • Manage user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.
  • Gather client requirement, assess, and design system architecture / solutions as per requirement
  • Design, implement and maintain virtual infrastructure e.g., Hyper-V and VMWare according to client’s need.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery, fault tolerance and fallback solutions for virtual environment.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Take necessary measures for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
  • Timely upgrade hardware and software on required frequency with client’s approval.
  • Timely update / upgrade all servers and other equipment patches and firmware.
  • Implement security measures and deploy necessary security policies using server / domain security policies.
  • Research and recommend new approaches to improve system environment / devices

 Skills and Experience desired

  • BS or MS in IT, CS, SE or related filed.
  • 5+ years of IT or related experience.
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE, CCNA, VMware VCP, AZ-104 , MS-300 / 301
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment

Shift: Night (6 pm-3 am)
