General Manager / Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager Finance / Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of a dynamic organization based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and control, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving sustainable growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and proven leadership capabilities to partner with senior management and enhance financial performance across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to analyze business performance, profitability, growth strategies, and commercial decision-making.
- Manage treasury functions, cash flow, working capital, liquidity planning, and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Evaluate capital expenditures, new store investments, and expansion plans through detailed financial modeling and investment appraisal.
- Strengthen financial governance by ensuring robust internal controls, compliance with taxation laws, statutory regulations, and audit management.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve profitability across stores, sales channels, partnerships, and promotional activities.
- Enhance finance systems, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency through the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and automation tools.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, capability building, and effective business partnering.

Required Qualifications

- Professional finance qualification such as CA, ACCA, ACMA, or an equivalent credential.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in finance, including significant leadership roles.
- Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting, taxation, treasury management, internal controls, working capital, and commercial finance.
- Strong understanding of multi-site operations, inventory management, cost control, and unit-level profitability analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA financial systems.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment, excellent stakeholder management skills, and proven ability to lead and inspire teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience in sectors such as Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Retail, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Hospitality, or other multi-location consumer businesses is highly desirable. The role offers a competitive monthly salary range from Rs. 77,000 to Rs. 350,000, reflecting the candidate’s experience and expertise.
