General Manager - Financial Monitoring & Compliance
The incumbent will be responsible to provide leadership to the Financial Monitoring & Compliance department and manage Partner Organizations related Financial Monitoring & Compliance activities for all grant programs of the Organization. The person will be required to develop the necessary formats, pretest them and establish these as the backbone of quarterly monitoring activities. Organize monitoring visits and oversee Financial Monitoring & Compliance for each agreement. Be able to ascertain status of implementation, release of tranches, financial progress, co-relationship of financial and physical progress, assess actual or potential risks, make recommendations, outline corrective paths, provide required capacity building and facilitate timely adjustments where needed. The role requires developing mechanisms for effective Financial Monitoring & Compliance and providing specialist input on particular components.
The ideal candidate must be Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree equivalent qualification preferably in Financial Management from a top ranking HEC recognized national or international university. The person will have at least 10 years’ relevant work experience in a national/international development sector organization. Should have a track record of developing and managing financial monitoring and compliance of donor funded programs. Demonstrate openness in sharing information and keeping people informed. Possess high level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with the stakeholders. He/she must be a team player, system thinker, goal driven, innovative and action oriented individual. Should have strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. Team player with demonstrated success in management of teams in complex and demanding environments. Willing to extensively travel in the field.
