The Pakistan Navy is inviting applications for the Short Service Commission 2027-A in the General Medicine branch. This opportunity is open to both male and female Pakistani citizens aged between 21 and 40 years as of July 1, 2027. Candidates with a minimum height of 5'4" for males and 5'0" for females are eligible to apply. The recruitment process includes an entrance test conducted at various Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centres across the country, including Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Nawabshah, Sialkot, Sukkur, Swat, Hyderabad, Kharian, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad (AJ&K), and Rahim Yar Khan. Applicants must register online through the official Pakistan Navy portal.

Key Responsibilities
As a commissioned officer in the General Medicine branch, the selected candidate will serve as a Medical Specialist within the Pakistan Navy. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing patient health records, and supporting the overall health and well-being of naval personnel. Officers will be expected to maintain high professional standards, participate in medical readiness activities, and contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Navy’s healthcare services. The role demands adherence to military discipline and the ability to work in diverse and challenging environments.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). Candidates should be Pakistani citizens with valid identification, ensuring no discrepancies between their original CNIC and the registration slip, as such inconsistencies will disqualify them from the entrance test. The minimum age limit is 21 years, with an upper age limit of 40 years as of July 1, 2027. Physical requirements include a minimum height of 5'4" for males and 5'0" for females.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preference will be given to candidates who possess higher post-qualification credentials such as FCPS (Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan) or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by PM&DC in the relevant specialty. Additionally, candidates with at least two years of experience as a Medical Specialist are highly desirable. Successful candidates will be commissioned at the rank of Acting Surgeon Lieutenant Commander (Ag Surg Lt Cdr), offering a structured career path within the Pakistan Navy’s medical services. This position provides an opportunity to serve the nation while advancing professionally in a disciplined and respected environment.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online by selecting the “Short Service Commission 2027-A” and then “General Medicine” on the official Pakistan Navy recruitment portal. Only online applications submitted through the official website will be considered.
