Generator Maintenance Technician / Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Technician to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of generators across multiple campuses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance and availability of diesel generators through routine servicing, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage all aspects of generator upkeep to support uninterrupted power supply.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive diesel generator (DG) servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct thorough engine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Regularly check and maintain critical components such as oil, filters, coolant, batteries, belts, and other related parts.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to the engine, alternator, Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), control panel, and starting systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime and maximize generator availability.
- Monitor generator performance metrics and fuel consumption to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and service records for all generators.

Required Qualifications

- Strong practical experience working with diesel generators.
- Solid understanding of generator engines and associated electrical systems.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in generator maintenance and repair.
