Generator Supervisor

Union Developers is looking for a skilled and dependable Generator Supervisor to manage the operation, maintenance, and servicing of diesel generators and related electrical equipment across various projects. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in diesel generators, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to lead maintenance teams to ensure a consistent and reliable power supply. This role requires hands-on supervision of generator operations and maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of diesel generators and backup power systems.
- Monitor generator performance, including fuel consumption, oil levels, battery status, and overall operating conditions.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in generators.
- Coordinate servicing, repairs, and replacement of generator parts as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of generator operations, maintenance activities, fuel usage, and repairs.
- Ensure generators are operational and available whenever required.
- Lead and supervise generator operators, technicians, and maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with project and site management to address power requirements and resolve equipment issues.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.
- Monitor fuel storage and consumption to prevent waste and unauthorized use.
- Respond promptly to generator breakdowns and emergency power needs.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Generator Supervisor, Generator Technician, or in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to supervise technical staff and manage maintenance schedules effectively.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Relevant technical diploma, certification, or trade qualification is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
