GoGrad is seeking an experienced overseas education counselor to join our team. As an education counselor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students who are interested in pursuing higher education in universities abroad. The ideal candidate should have a passion for education and a deep understanding of the admission requirements and processes of overseas universities especially UK & US.
Responsibilities:
- Advise and guide students through the university admission process, including application procedures, admission requirements, and deadlines.
- Assist students in selecting universities and courses that match their academic and personal interests, as well as their career aspirations.
- Provide comprehensive information about the academic and social environment, culture, and lifestyle of the countries and universities in which students are interested.
- Offer advice on scholarship opportunities, financial aid, and other forms of financial assistance available to international students.
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas universities, and keep up-to-date with their admission requirements and processes.
- Assist students in obtaining visas and preparing for their departure to study abroad.
- Provide ongoing support to students throughout their academic journey abroad, including communication with universities, tracking academic progress, and addressing any challenges or concerns that arise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as an education counselor, preferably in an overseas education setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and preferably in other languages.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UK universities admission requirements and processes.
- Familiarity with UK student visa procedures and requirements.
- Passion for education and a strong commitment to student success.
