Job Purpose
The surveillance Officer ensures the security of inventory at the premises of an organization and saves the organization from losses through timely alarming using a microphone speaker when suspicious activity is noticed, monitoring targets, using video surveillance equipment, reporting to managers, and help to investigate suspicious activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring electronic surveillance equipment (CCTV) to monitor suspicious activities in and surrounding areas of 3 locations in USA & to prevent theft.
- Monitor & record employees from the time of arrival to leaving the warehouse.
- Observe and report incidents and occurrences that occur on the shop floors. Suspicious activities such as theft or cheating.
- Prepare and gather footage/videos if requested by other department(s) or by line manager for verification of information/incident(s).
- Investigate suspicious trades, look for or unethical practices and trading patterns. Review footage and create reports for any suspicious activity on-premises. Report them to the GM
- with the findings.
- Document any incident through detailed written reports on Odoo ERP.
- Establishes report compilation by bookmarking, snapshots, and review of investigational video footage.
- Secures vital video footage for management and law enforcement utilization on a backed-up network drive.
- Responsible for observing all vendors, visitors, and employees in order to protect the assets of the company.
- Enter and retrieve information from computer databases and hard copy files in order to utilize such information in surveillance activities.
- Adhering to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.
- Answer phone and radio call to record any activity among employees/patrons.
- Serve as intelligent and be alert and fully aware of the surroundings of all locations.
- Any other task is given by the Manager and Head of Department.
Qualifications
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to prepare “DSR” (Daily Surveillance Report) on exact time without fail.
- Be able to report to work with punctuality is very important for this position.
- Be able to prepare (DPR) Daily Progress Reports and submit without fail.
- Skills such as vigilance, pro-active, communication, reliable and ability to do multi-tasking.
- Young and energetic who can constantly look at the screen for consecutive 8 hours.
- Familiar with features of DVR / NVR such as playback, record, save on USB -
- Must have an IT background
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures is preferred.
