Accountant

Graphic Art is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team in Lahore. The ideal candidate holds a B.Com, M.Com, or BBA in Finance or Accounting, with 1 to 3 years of professional accounting experience. This role focuses on managing day-to-day accounting activities including bookkeeping, sales and purchase entries, cash and bank transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records using ERP software. Strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with proficiency in MS Excel are essential for success in this position. The candidate will handle accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, payment records, and petty cash management to ensure smooth financial operations. The successful applicant will not be managing a team but will work collaboratively within the finance department, ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations. Prior experience in trading, manufacturing, or printing businesses is preferred to better understand inventory accounting and stock management. Knowledge of FBR and tax regulations will be advantageous. Attention to detail, accuracy, and good communication skills are required to maintain proper documentation and prepare basic profit and loss and financial reports that support the companys financial health and decision-making.
Responsibilities

Maintain daily bookkeeping records, ensuring accurate and timely entries of all financial transactions.
Manage sales and purchase entries in the accounting system to maintain proper financial records.
Handle cash and bank transactions, including receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations to ensure correct cash flow monitoring.
Prepare and process invoices, payment records, and manage accounts receivable and payable effectively.
Maintain petty cash records and ensure proper documentation for all petty cash transactions.
Perform general ledger accounting activities and ensure entries are posted accurately in the ERP system.
Generate basic profit and loss statements and other financial reports to assist management in decision-making.
Maintain accurate stock and inventory accounting records in coordination with relevant departments.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
Use MS Excel proficiently to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting tasks.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FBR and tax-related matters.
Continuously update knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies to ensure best practices.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities including accurate and timely financial reporting.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications when required.
Apply analytical skills to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial integrity.
Contribute to process improvements in accounting and finance operations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
