The GRC Lead role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore. This role is responsible for managing governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across Liztek’s AI-powered platforms and solutions. The successful candidate will design and maintain GRC frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role involves conducting risk assessments, coordinating internal audits, and monitoring the effectiveness of controls. Collaboration with engineering, product, data, and operations teams is essential to embed compliance and security-by-design principles into workflows. The GRC Lead will also handle regulatory mapping to technical controls, manage compliance documentation, support inquiries from customers and regulators, and prepare clear reports and presentations for leadership. Additionally, the role includes driving continuous improvement in GRC practices, mentoring team members, and contributing to the company’s governance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address identified risks.
- Coordinate and support internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and monitoring control effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, data, and operations to integrate compliance and security controls into development and operational workflows.
- Map regulatory obligations to technical controls and maintain up-to-date compliance documentation.
- Respond to customer and regulatory inquiries related to governance, risk, and compliance matters.
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in GRC processes and practices.
- Mentor and guide team members to strengthen the overall governance culture within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading Governance, Risk, and Compliance programs, including policy development, control design, and framework implementation such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or similar standards.
- Strong expertise in risk management, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and ongoing monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to financial services, fintech, telecom, or other data-intensive sectors.
- Familiarity with information security, data protection, and privacy principles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with security and engineering teams.
- Excellent skills in documenting processes, drafting clear policies and procedures, and producing compliance and audit reports tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with GRC tools or platforms and understanding how to embed compliance controls within technology environments and workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and a structured approach to complex challenges.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site as part of a collaborative team environment.
