Green Tobacco seeks a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage and maintain the company’s financial records accurately. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in accounting and a strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, and accounts payable and receivable processes. This role requires preparing invoices, maintaining ledgers, handling bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards using financial reporting software such as SAP or Oracle Financials. The candidate must possess good communication and analytical skills to effectively capture financial data and support the company’s financial health. This position does not involve managing a team but requires close collaboration with vendors and other departments to ensure accurate accounts payable management. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work responsibly under deadlines and have a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. The role demands a proactive individual who can handle multiple financial tasks efficiently and supports Green Tobacco’s operational and strategic financial goals.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including invoices, ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions thoroughly and within set timelines.
  • Utilize financial reporting software such as SAP or Oracle Financials to monitor and report financial data.
  • Coordinate vendor management activities including invoice verification, payment processing, and dispute resolution.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes accurately and timely.
  • Review and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Generate financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial status for internal use.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to clarify financial issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Work under deadlines to ensure timely completion of all accounting tasks while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards to maintain ethical financial practices.
  • Continuously update accounting knowledge and skills to improve efficiency and adapt to new financial regulations or technologies.
