The University Main Office is seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to maintain and support the operations of padel courts and their surrounding facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports facility or landscape maintenance and be committed to ensuring that the courts remain in excellent playing condition. This role requires someone who resides within the campus and can contribute to the upkeep and smooth functioning of the sports infrastructure, including preparation for training sessions and tournaments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain padel courts and surrounding facilities to ensure excellent playing conditions.
- Clean and groom artificial turf courts regularly.
- Inspect and maintain glass walls, fencing, nets, lighting, and court accessories to ensure safety and functionality.
- Prepare courts for training sessions and tournaments, ensuring readiness at all times.
- Assist with equipment handling and provide support during events.
- Report any maintenance defects promptly and ensure operational readiness of all facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and landscaping around the courts to uphold a professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Essential: Matriculation certificate.
- Age between 20 and 45 years.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sports facility or landscape maintenance.
- Physically fit and medically sound, with a minimum height of 5 feet 9 inches.
- Basic knowledge of turf and facility maintenance.
- Must reside within the campus premises.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Intermediate qualification is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sports facility or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Successful completion of a physical fitness test and practical maintenance assessment will be considered an advantage.
Candidates must submit scanned copies of their academic and professional documents. The last education certificate or degree must be attested or verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Applications will be disqualified if the candidate has a third division in their academic record, a weak academic profile, or is currently pursuing a required degree. Employees of NUST with less than one year of service or without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution will also be considered ineligible.
