HSPG, through Global Teams (a Smail Group company), is seeking a highly skilled Group Operations Manager for a well-established partner with expanding interests in property, construction, investment, and related sectors. This senior leadership role offers a seat at the strategic management table, requiring a commercially astute leader capable of driving group-wide operational excellence, building scalable systems, and translating ambitious strategies into measurable outcomes. The position is full-time and remote, based in Pakistan, with significant overlap with UK/Ireland business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a unified operating model across multiple businesses, ensuring operational effectiveness and continuous improvement while maintaining agility within a growing entrepreneurial group.
- Translate group strategy into clear operating priorities, ownership structures, delivery plans, and measurable results.
- Design and refine the group operating model, including decision rights, escalation procedures, and cross-business coordination.
- Lead operational performance reviews by establishing meaningful KPIs, management dashboards, and reporting rhythms.
- Identify structural inefficiencies, delivery risks, and resource gaps; propose and implement commercially viable solutions.
- Drive accountability among managers and operational teams to meet commitments, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Lead process transformation initiatives, develop SOP frameworks, and promote the adoption of scalable business systems.
- Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and operational capacity to support group growth.
- Enhance collaboration across functions such as property, construction, finance, technology, and people operations.
- Champion the effective use of tools like Asana, Slack, reporting systems, and workflow automation where appropriate.
- Lead and develop operational team members, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in ownership and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior operational roles such as Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, or Head of Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional operations and influence senior leadership decisions.
- Experience in creating operational frameworks and delivering measurable improvements in business performance.
- Strong commercial judgment, systems thinking, problem-solving skills, and people leadership capabilities.
- Expertise in KPIs, management reporting, change management, and accountability structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and spoken business English, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders in the UK and Ireland.
