Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks. To provide a broad range of financial analyses and information on an accurate and timely basis to business management in order to enable assessment of performance against financial and strategic objectives. You work within a professional team that collectively ensures client satisfaction, by producing accurate account valuations and up to date accounts of the firm. Your valuations are daily, weekly and monthly and you maintain accurate records, identifying and mitigating business risk.
Job Description
- Preparation of vouchers, Advances
- Filing and documentation
- Prepare journal entries
- Complete general ledger operations
- Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
- Assist with yearend closings
- Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Assist with payroll administration
- Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
- Review and process expense reports
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
- Minimum 1 year accounting experience.
Experience:
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge regarding large corporate general ledger systems.
- Ability to understand, assess and respond to complex situations and provide strategic solutions.
- 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, hospitality industry or comparable industry.
Skills:
- Proven experience in funds accounting/pricing/client reporting within financial markets would be prefered.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of fund products, fund accounting and systems and regulations
- Strong teamwork with the ability to work independently as well
- Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Good and advanced Excel and Analytical skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Strong teamwork with the ability to work independently as well.
- MS Office Excel knowledge.
- Strong technical accounting skills
