As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.
As a Senior Accountant at Guardian FM Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations within our facilities management business. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, timesheet management, and reconciliation with clients and suppliers.
- Oversee the accurate recording and processing of timesheets, ensuring timely submission by employees and adherence to company policies and client requirements.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of client and supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate invoicing and payment processing.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and other deductions in compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial guidance and analysis.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the facilities management or related industry.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
