Production Engineer-P2

Haier is seeking an experienced Production Engineer-P2 to lead and manage day-to-day production operations at our TV-SDA Factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving production processes to ensure high-quality output with maximum efficiency. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of production planning, process optimization, and resource management, including manpower, materials, and machinery. The Production Engineer-P2 will oversee a dedicated team of 40 personnel, coordinating efforts to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Production Engineer-P2 plays a critical role in driving Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies within the factory environment to reduce waste and enhance productivity. This position requires close collaboration with various departments to optimize material requirements planning and monitor key performance indicators such as UPMH/UPH and manpower utilization. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience in production engineering or manufacturing settings.
Responsibilities

Plan and schedule daily production activities to meet output targets while ensuring optimum use of manpower, materials, and machinery.
Lead and supervise a production team of 40 personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance workforce productivity and engagement.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvements in production processes.
Monitor and analyze key production metrics including UPMH (Units Per Man Hour), UPH (Units Per Hour), and manpower utilization to ensure operational excellence.
Collaborate with the materials management team to optimize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for timely availability of raw materials and components.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment to identify areas for technological upgrades or process enhancements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and environmental policies across all production activities.
Troubleshoot production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for production to maintain consistency and quality.
Coordinate cross-department communication to align production goals with inventory, supply chain, and quality assurance teams.
Prepare reports on production performance, resource utilization, and improvement initiatives for senior management review.
Manage manpower effectively to meet fluctuating production demands while minimizing labor costs and overtime.
