Utilities Design & Project Engineer

Haier is seeking a skilled Utilities Design & Project Engineer with a solid background in industrial utility systems and project engineering. The ideal candidate holds a BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant Engineering discipline and possesses 5 to 6 years of practical experience. This role demands expertise in designing and coordinating major industrial utility systems including power and energy, industrial gases, water systems, and fire protection systems. The engineer will ensure all designs comply with local regulations and international standards while supporting the preparation of RFQs, project bidding, and cost estimation processes. The candidate must be adept at developing and monitoring project plans, schedules, and milestones, while maintaining budget control and quality standards through rigorous site inspections and compliance checks. Additionally, the engineer will uphold health, safety, and environmental compliance and collaborate effectively with site teams, contractors, consultants, and senior management. This position does not include team management responsibilities but requires strong coordination and communication skills to support project success. This position also involves ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards according to company policies, highlighting the need for a disciplined approach to quality and safety management. The engineer plays a crucial role in resolving technical and site-related issues promptly, applying problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum. Responsibilities

Review and coordinate the design and engineering of major industrial utility systems, including power and energy, industrial gases, water, and fire protection systems.
Ensure all engineering designs comply with applicable local regulations and international engineering standards.
Support the preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQ), participate in project bidding processes, and evaluate vendor proposals effectively.
Develop detailed project plans, establish schedules and milestones, and monitor resource allocation and project progress to meet deadlines.
Monitor project costs continuously and implement budget control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and resolve any technical or site-related issues promptly.
Coordinate and communicate regularly with the site team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), contractors, consultants, and senior management to maintain project alignment.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards and integrate these requirements into daily engineering and project activities.
Apply problem-solving and project management skills to facilitate smooth execution and timely delivery of utility projects.
