Truck Dispatcher

In this position, the Truck Dispatcher plays a pivotal role in the success of freight operations at Hambo Freight. By leveraging various dispatch and logistics management software along with a thorough knowledge of lanes, rates, equipment types, and current market conditions, the dispatcher identifies and secures the most profitable loads. Familiarity with essential trucking documentation such as Rate Confirmations, Bills of Lading, Proof of Delivery, as well as customs around detention, layover, TONU, and lumper fees is critical. The dispatcher maintains continuous communication, demonstrates a fast response time, and negotiates accessorial charges efficiently. Their disciplined and detail-oriented approach ensures excellent service quality even under pressure. Although this role does not include managing a team, it requires exceptional accountability and a professional attitude to support Hambo Freights freight network.
Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily truck dispatch operations to ensure efficient load scheduling and routing.
Negotiate competitive rates with brokers while maintaining profitable revenue for assigned trucks.
Continuously search for and book the best available loads using load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
Coordinate with drivers and brokers to maintain clear and prompt communication throughout the delivery process.
Track loads from pickup through delivery, resolving any issues like detention, layover, or accessorial fees promptly.
Utilize dispatch and logistics management software, Geographic Information Systems, and route optimization algorithms to maximize efficiency and minimize deadhead miles.
Interpret and manage critical trucking documentation including Rate Confirmations, Bills of Lading, and Proof of Delivery.
Stay updated on market conditions, lane rates, RPM (revenue per mile), and equipment types to optimize dispatch decisions.
Handle multiple trucks and loads simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management and multitasking skills.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to freight movements and transactions.
Provide proactive communication and support to drivers, anticipating their needs and preventing issues before they arise.
Work independently to meet performance expectations under US business hour shifts or night schedules from Pakistan.
Negotiate detention and accessorial charges effectively to manage costs and maintain profitability.
Implement problem-solving strategies to overcome logistical challenges and ensure timely deliveries.
Assist in the integration of Electronic Logging Device (ELD) systems where applicable to enhance tracking and compliance.
Report performance metrics and revenue generation results for assigned trucks to support company objectives.
