Accountant

Hamza Trading is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate manages the full spectrum of accounting tasks, encompassing financial reporting, tax preparation, accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger management. This position requires a professional who is proficient in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials, as well as expertise in advanced Excel functions to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial operations. With a minimum of two years of relevant experience, the Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and integrity of our organization. This role involves leading a team of three accounting professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient workflow within the department. The successful candidate will oversee bank and ledger reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records, and generate timely reports to inform management decisions. The accountant must also be adept at utilizing various accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop and Payroll, to streamline processes and support internal controls. Responsibilities

Manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Lead and supervise a team of three accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
Oversee tax preparation activities to ensure timely compliance with government tax regulations and deadlines.
Utilize ERP software (SAP, Oracle Financials) and advanced Excel functions to enhance financial data management and reporting.
Implement and maintain accounting systems, including QuickBooks and other relevant software, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to support financial audits and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and company policies throughout financial operations.
Assist in budgeting processes, cash flow management, and financial forecasting as required by management.
Stay current with changes in financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices to continuously improve accounting processes.
