Systems Architect / Cloud Engineer

As a Systems Architect and Cloud Engineer at HSxTech, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable cloud architectures, with a focus on deploying SaaS solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our cloud infrastructure meets the evolving needs of our clients while upholding the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy & manage a robust cloud architectures for hosting SaaS applications on AWS.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions tailored to application requirements.
Configure and manage AWS services including EC2.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring of cloud-based applications.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, performance, and scalability.
Enforce security best practices across all aspects of cloud architecture and deployment.
Monitor system health, diagnose and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing and SaaS deployment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 Years + Proven experience deploying SaaS solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and concepts.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages including Python.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Solid grasp of networking principles and cloud security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).
Experience with database technologies, especially PostgreSQL.
