Position Summary:
A Production manager is involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. He makes sure that the goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and at the level of quality specified.
Production Manager: Job Description.
- Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
- Ensure that the production is cost effective.
- Assist with setting daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives to communicate them to workers.
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Decide & Communicate, What resources are required.
- Draft a timescale for the job.
- Estimate costs and set the quality standards.
- Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment’s.
- Collaborate among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers.
- Monitor production output and quality control processes according to specifications.
- Submit reports on performance and progress.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Process, reduce material wastage & increase productivity and quality
- Review worker performance.
- Develop lean system and application in company.
- Identify training needs.
Job Requirement:
- Year Experience: 3 Years
- Minimum career level: Supervisor
- Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor Degree
- Project Management Skill
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience in wood industry is an asset
- Knowledge with lean manufacturing would be an asset
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Previous work experience with furniture manufacturing is helpful
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT and numerical Skills.
- Computer Skill: AutoCAD will be an asset
- Problem-solving skills
- Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be helpful.
- Manager must also be able to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines.
