This is a hands-on finance role within a growing B2B services company focused on go-to-market solutions. This position goes beyond basic bookkeeping, tax preparation, or audit functions. Instead, it requires a proactive finance professional who interprets financial data, drives insights, and partners directly with the CEO to influence strategic decisions. You will build the finance function from the ground up, owning unit economics and financial reporting in a fast-paced, evolving environment with no predefined processes or managerial oversight.

Key Responsibilities
- Close the books every month within five business days and deliver a comprehensive profit and loss statement including margin analysis.
- Track every acquisition dollar spent across channels such as cold email, agencies, paid media, events, and partnerships, linking costs to clients and flagging any channels exceeding targets.
- Report gross margin by client engagement and maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast used by the CEO for decision-making.
- Manage contractor and international payments, including 1099 and W-8BEN forms, for a remote workforce.
- Calculate commissions and revenue-share payouts quarterly with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain separate, clean financial records for each affiliate company as the business expands.
- Ensure timely collections by following up so client payments are received within five days of their due dates.
- Collaborate with external CPA on entity structure and tax filings.
- Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, enabling scalability without increasing headcount.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing the books for a services business such as an agency, consultancy, or professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting principles; CPA or equivalent credentials are a plus, but practical experience is paramount.
- Proven ability to build and maintain unit economics models, including customer acquisition cost (CAC), gross margin by client, and payback periods, with demonstrated impact on business decisions.
- Experience running month-end close independently, without managerial review.
- Proficiency using AI tools daily to reduce manual work, with examples of automated workflows that saved time.
- Ability to work remotely with at least four hours of overlap with US Eastern Time during weekdays.
