ZTBL (Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited), a AAA-rated financial institution with a widespread network of over 500 branches, is seeking a qualified professional to join as the Head of the Corporate & Service Law Matter Department for the year 2026. This leadership role involves overseeing legal matters related to corporate and service law, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic legal guidance to support the bank’s operations and growth. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Corporate & Service Law Matter Department, ensuring all legal affairs are handled efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, contracts, service agreements, and other related matters to support the bank’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of legal documents to protect the bank’s interests and minimize risks.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external legal counsel to resolve complex legal issues and disputes.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the banking sector and advise management on necessary actions to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to corporate and service law matters.
- Represent the bank in legal proceedings and liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team to enhance their capabilities and performance.

Required Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Professional legal certification or bar membership is required.
- Extensive experience in corporate and service law, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of managing legal departments or teams in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of banking laws, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or additional qualifications related to corporate law or banking regulations will be given preference. Experience working in a large financial institution or a AAA-rated bank is highly desirable.
