ACE Money Transfer, a UK-based multinational headquartered in Manchester, provides secure online remittance services across 29 countries, enabling cross-border money transfers to over 100 destinations worldwide. We are seeking a Head of Pricing & Margin to lead our standalone Pricing & Margin vertical from our Lahore office, covering European trading hours on a rota basis. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this senior role is responsible for owning the revenue earned per transaction by governing pricing strategies across all sending-to-receiving corridor pairs and payout partners. The Head of Pricing & Margin acts as the group’s pricing authority, balancing the competing interests of volume growth and margin optimization with evidence-based pricing decisions. This role leads a team of corridor pricing managers, pricing operations staff, and analysts, ensuring fairness, compliance, and commercial effectiveness in all pricing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue per transaction and maintain the pricing rulebook as a versioned configuration.
- Lead and develop the Corridor Pricing Managers and associated teams.
- Serve as the business owner of the group’s pricing and rate-automation platform, including classification logic and approval controls.
- Monitor and manage competitor positioning based on the total customer experience (rate plus fee), and implement responsive strategies.
- Optimize revenue streams within agreed scheme terms, escalating any increasing dependencies to Finance.
- Govern promotional pricing end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage rate and fee changes holistically, ensuring no customer-facing price improvement reduces beneficiary receipts.
- Uphold conduct accountability under the UK Consumer Duty, ensuring fairness, transparency, and engagement with the Group MLRO during pricing design.
- Establish and chair a monthly pricing governance forum to oversee pricing decisions and compliance.
- Provide daily pricing intelligence for group-wide reporting and decision-making.
- Build, scale, and continuously improve the pricing function to meet evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in revenue management or pricing within high-volume, transaction-driven sectors such as payments, remittances, fintech, FX, ride-hailing, or online travel, including at least 3 years in a dedicated pricing or revenue leadership role. Experience in regulated consumer markets is essential.
- Proven track record managing regional or corridor-level economics, navigating varying cost structures, payment rails, and competitive landscapes by geography.
- Demonstrated experience in governed pricing environments involving controlled change processes, pricing committees, or regulated price-setting. Familiarity with the UK Consumer Duty or equivalent conduct regimes is mandatory.
- Strong evidence-based approach with experience designing and scaling pricing experiments or controlled tests that deliver measurable results.
- Deep understanding of transaction economics, including FX pricing, fee structures, incentive schemes, correspondent and scheme costs, and unit-level profitability.
- Proficiency in SQL and comfort with statistical programming languages such as Python or R, or the ability to direct analysts proficient in these tools. Experience building or managing BI/analytics platforms is required.
- Leadership experience in building and managing pricing or revenue teams, including direct reports and functional development.
- Ability to translate complex technical and product details into board-level commercial narratives.
- Quantitative academic background in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, or related fields; postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
