The Health and Safety Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous monitoring and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within the factory operations. This position involves conducting routine field inspections, identifying potential hazards, reporting unsafe conditions, and following up on corrective actions to improve workplace safety. The role requires close collaboration with the HSE Engineer to manage audits, implement safety protocols, and maintain comprehensive records related to HSE activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate, regulate, and monitor daily work permits in accordance with CCI and TCC KORE requirements, including legal obligations related to hazardous work.
- Conduct daily field inspections to identify and report unsafe conditions, ensuring adherence to HSE standards.
- Assist the HSE Engineer in managing and executing HSE audits, including follow-up on corrective actions and closure of audit recommendations.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors receive 100% HSE orientation before entering the factory premises.
- Participate in and conduct periodic HSE checks, maintaining follow-up on the closure of any recommendations arising from these inspections.
- Maintain and update all HSE databases and records, including work permits, KORE procedures, procedural forms, audit reports, and inspection documentation.
- Keep detailed records of all incidents, including near-misses, and track the status of corrective action plans.
- Collaborate closely with the HSE Engineer on all HSE-related projects and initiatives within the Hand in Hand framework.

Required Qualifications

- Associate Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical disciplines.
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a related field.
